For some, this is a day when your significant other may purchase a card and possibly even a gift for you.
For others, it's been dubbed Single Awareness Day.
My heart goes out to those who imagine themselves "unloved" on February 14 (no pun intended) because nothing could be further from the truth.
The perception that you aren't loved or cherished is more about the enemy's scheme to dishearten you than how genuinely lovable and desirable you are.
The greatest lover of all times is smitten by you. He is a hopeful romantic who would leave ninety-nine other cherished ones in order to chase after you if you go missing. (Luke 15)
He is a lover who never forgets you-- even if you forget him.
(Hebrews 13)
His passion is without equal, he would literally die for you--and in fact, he did.
(Luke 23)
He may not bring you wine or roses today, but he is preparing a future feast that isn't rivaled by any five star, four diamond restaurant on earth.
(John 14)
He bears no resemblance to the guy in a romance novel or Hollywood film and he isn't going to come calling with a box of chocolates, but he did write you an incredible love letter that I'm urging you to read if you aren't feeling particularly special this February 14th.
(2 Timothy 3)
But just in case you don't have the chance to open the letter, think on this special reminder from Him--
John 15: 13 "And here is how to measure it—the greatest love is shown when a person lays down his life for his friends; 14 and you are my friends..." Love, Jesus
